Real support. Evidence-based care. Birth with dignity.
Why I Do This Work
I became a doula because I care deeply about people feeling supported, respected, and truly seen during birth. Too often, birth can feel rushed, clinical, or even disempowering—and I don’t believe it has to be that way.
With a background in research and teaching, and lived experience navigating the maternity system myself, I know how important it is to have someone by your side who understands both the evidence and the emotional side of birth.
My approach is calm, practical, and warm. I'm here to offer reliable information, a steady presence, and genuine support—without judgement or pressure. Whether you're planning a home birth, navigating NHS care, or figuring things out as you go, I’m here to help you feel more prepared and more confident.
Birth is a big deal. You deserve to feel informed, respected, and looked after, whatever your choices look like.

By understanding the impact of past experiences, I aim to provide care that acknowledges and respects your individual history, ensuring that your needs and boundaries are honoured throughout the birthing process.
Inclusive, Evidence-Based Support
Grounded in the latest research and clinical insights, my approach combines academic knowledge with holistic understanding. I am committed to offering care that is not only scientifically sound but also culturally sensitive and inclusive, embracing the diverse backgrounds and identities of all birthing individuals.
Deep Listening and Reverence for the Process
I believe that birth is a sacred journey. By practicing deep listening, I strive to truly hear and understand your desires, fears, and expectations. This attentiveness allows me to support you in a manner that respects the profound nature of childbirth, honouring it as a transformative rite of passage.
Racism-Informed Knowledge & Practice
Acknowledging the systemic disparities in maternity care, my work is rooted in addressing racial biases, advocating for equity in birth support, and ensuring inclusive, culturally competent care for all individuals.

My research and all content within this platform is committed to creating a safe and affirming space for LGBTQI+ individuals. This includes using gender-inclusive language, understanding diverse family structures, and ensuring that all birthing people receive respectful, knowledgeable, and individualised care.
